Thank you so much for this morning’s great class. I found it really easy to book the session on team up and then join the class this morning. I was using an iPad so I think maybe tablets are a bit easier than a pc…and also more portable if we need to move them for the floor work.
The music faded in and out but didn’t detract from the class and the whole thing was a great experience.
I’ve already been able to book my next session for next Monday so look forward to seeing you then.

Just wanted to say thanks for the class this morning. I really enjoyed it and made things seem a little more normal. I have been trying to keep up with weekly Pilates at home but not been successful in motivating myself. Booking online classes will make sure that I do it so thanks very much.
In terms of feedback, I thought it went really well once the signal settled down. Was almost like a normal class!!

Hi Jan. Super classes this week!!! You really are so good. The classes are all different and you are so nice with everyone. I can see such a difference in my body shape since I started classes with you. I had a mega clear out of my old clothes the other day and funny enough all of my skinny jeans were looser on me. I think it’s because Pilates exercises do not add bulk but lengthen and strengthen the body. Lots of my friends have been asking me if I’ve lost weight but in fact I weigh more!! Huge thank you.

You asked how am I feeling, and I’ve taken some time to think about the Question.
When I came to class on Monday I was feeling apprehensive, I was aching and was unsure if I could do the exercises. But as I stretched, breathed and moved I felt my aches decreasing. I don’t always get the exercises right but your there watching and encouraging and I know you will come over and help me as you do too all who are in your class.
My balance, my posture and my joints and getting over styles when I’m hill walking have all improved since I’ve been coming.
So how am I feeling right now, I’m feeling good thanks to your Pilates class.
I joined Jan’s beginners Pilates classes in January. I have a progressive curve in my spinal column and over the years it has made any distance walking very painful. Generally my joints had seized up making crouching down a real struggle to get back up… (I was helped back up last December by an elderly lady with a stick in the supermarket!) Time to take action… I was advised to join Jan’s class as she has a wealth of knowledge on the human anatomy and the muscles and bones.
Jan is extremely accomplished in her field and keeps her classes to a small intimate size, she spends time walking around and studying each one’s personal disability and how she can help you overcome it by firstly… and always tuning into your core posture then gently stretching those muscles to release the tension. In addition to these exercises Jan offers an on line nutrition and weight and measurement monitoring service.
During the past nine months my journey with Jan has resulted in a much improved posture and strength in my back and abdominal muscles. I have lost inches from my hips and waist and my weight loss is slow but steady. If finances prevailed I would dearly like to attend twice weekly as I look forward to class greatly. I cannot recommend Jan highly enough. Such a pleasant disposition and cheerful and positive at all times ….thank you Jan
Pilates is a lifestyle. It makes me stronger on the outside and on the inside. It makes me aware of how I move and how to be in control. Thank you Jan for your professionalism, support, positive attitude and contagious smile. I have been with Jan for more than 7 years and I have loved every single session.

I started Jan’s classes in 2007 as I wanted to lose some weight for my wedding the following year. I hadn’t done much exercise for a while apart from some walking – generally in the summer months.
I started attending the classes once a week but soon built it up to 3 times a week. The results were amazing, I went down 2 dress sizes and really toned up. I don’t think I would have kept it up if it wasn’t for Jan herself, she has so much energy and enthusiasm, regularly changing the exercises and finding ways to make the standard exercise more interesting. Her encouragement and support kept me going when the going got tough.
After I married I went back to some bad habits and put some weight back on as I didn’t exercise for a while. I returned to Jan’s class and she welcomed me back, and I realised that for me to keep exercising I need that positivity and encouragement to help keep me on track. Jan is a motivational and supportive instructor no matter what level you are at and she shares her vast knowledge to help you fulfil your potential. Jan’s classes are always fun and enjoyable I look forward to them each week.

I have attended several of Jan’s classes over the years. At the moment HIIT and Pilates are my favourites! HIIT makes me feel envigorated – it’s hard work but I’m beginning to feel the benefits and the relaxation session at the end eases the muscles! I always look forward to the weekly Pilates class and after having been going for over a year, am definitely feeling stronger – but the plank is still a struggle!
Jan is a fantastic instructor – extremely professional and knowledgeable and always makes you feel welcome to her classes! If you have a query she is always willing to spend some time with you to discuss! I can highly recommend Jan’s classes to anyone at any level x
You are a fantastic Pilates instructor. Anyone who has been to your classes I’m sure will know this too, and I learned so much from you! I’m only sorry I can’t make any of your private classes at the moment… But hey, you never know in the future!
Personally I had a lot of time on my hands as I had worked full time well past my retirement age (I had enjoyed my career). Pilates has helped my mind and body to feel at ease hence I am leading a more comfortable but still meaningful life with my own set of achievable goals. Without any obvious pressure from Jan I can now perform exercises which I thought would be impossible some twelve months ago.
This gives me a sense of achievement in that I am doing something positive to maintain a healthy body which I am sure will pay dividends in the future. It is very enjoyable to be part of such a friendly class (I believe some members have attended for years). Your body is at ease, your mind calm and focused and any sense of anxiety has disappeared.

I love going to Jan’s classes. She has been particularly helpful to me, as just having had two new knees she modifies the exercises to suit me, at the moment.

I joined Jan’s Pilates classes many years ago and, despite having arthritis in my knees and lower back I find, so far, that I can manage almost all the exercises. I am sure that the classes have helped with the problems in both areas as I rarely suffer from the pain at night that I used to.
We exercise every part of the body without seemingly expending a lot of energy. I am not a sporty person but enjoy the classes because at each session we have different music and some variety in the exercises so it is never a complete repetition of a previous class and I do feel that it is good for me. I had previously been with a different instructor and found that each class and music was identical every week – so monotonous!
Jan is a really good teacher, I like going to her Pilates classes because she is very thorough in explaining the Pilates moves whilst allowing you to go at your own pace, if you are a bit slow and stiff like me.
Jan will show you how to get into the correct position if you are a learner but always in a kind and jolly way.
I have only recently started Pilates but already I can bend and stretch more, feel my joints loosing up and muscles becoming stronger. I would recommend Jan’s classes to all ages
